I don't think there is anything special about the crankshaft except they must have moved the connecting-rod journals of the crankshaft further out to stoke the engine from 3.8 to 4.0.

If i could i would buy two!

One to drive and enjoy and one to keep in a heated and humidity controlled garage with almost no miles!

These cars will definitely be highly collectible in the future...

Well, it's a totally different crankshaft from 4.0litre race car, also conrods, intake manifold, airbox, headers, exhaust and suspension are all different, plus a lot more carbon fibre all around!

The crankshaft has been lifted unchanged from the 911 GT3 RSR racing car and the forged pistons’ connecting rods are fashioned from titanium. It achieves its maximum power of 500 hp at 8,250 rpm.
