Default OT - Garage buddy for the 997

I have owned a few Porsches but I'm a car nut and I like other marques too. I have owned several British cars including mutliple examples of MG, Austin Healey and TVR. I regularly make my rounds of eBay, AutoTrader, Wirewheel and other sites checking for TR3s, Healey 3000s, Morgans, and 60's & 70's TVRs. As I transition into retirement my plan is to exit Porsches and have a cool classic to play with, something less expensive. Unfortunately, Healeys have gone through the roof, Porsches are untouchable, even TR3s are getting into the mid to high 20's for a really nice one. And cool though they are, they don't really drive all that well.

Well, long story short I came across a 1977 TVR 2500M, original owner, all documentation including purchase documents. 4,4xx miles, all original. The car has moved with the owner from Connecticut to Texas to California and has literally spent more miles on a trailer than on the road. Despite the lack of use, it has been maintained, runs well, parts rebuilt or refreshed. I had one 3 years older but just like it 35 years ago. I couldn't resist. I have never seen another original owner example like this. InterCity picked it up today. Should be in my garage Sunday. Hope to keep it another 34 years. Woohoo!

It's hard to find good/cheap British sports cars in the states, nice find. There's nothing like the old cars, I want one!
