I'm not sure why you think the 997 will hold up better than any other 'old' model.

As soon as the 991 is available to order the majority of porsche public will start ordering 'the new one', simply because it's 'the new one'. Enthusiasts may debate if they like the 991 or not but we are the minority for sure.

PCNA will begin to clear out 11's with incentives and low rate finance. Discounts will increase from 7 - 9 percent to 10 - 15 percent. Older model year values will drop down the line. That's the way it's always been and that's the way this one will go. It's hard to hear as a recent year model owner (been there, done that) but that's the cycle.
