Broken bolt off CAT. converter. Need help

I was trying to remove the center muffler by removing the the nuts that are secure to the flange off the cat. converter. Well, one of the bolt on the right converter broke off. Now, what should I do at this point? Can I remove the broke bolt off the cat. flange? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

You might need to cut the bolt off with a steel cutting blade on a dremmel tool. Did you soak the bolts with a penetrating oil overnight before attempting to removing them? I guess it's too late for that now. Cutting off the bolt and ordering a replacement bolt might be your only solution I'm afraid.

I was able to remove the broken bolt. Thank goodness the bolt is pressed fit and I was able to "Moderately" tapped the bolt out. Off to Homedepot I go to find a non-rusting bolt/nut combo.

you need to go to porsche see if you can get that origional bolt. you need to replace it the same as it was. or if you wont do that, go to napa or a nut and bolt store and get a grade 8 or 10 bolt

Which may not be that bad of an idea. If one's in sad shape -- sad enough to break -- the others might be to and while you're there replace them all. The ones that are original won't get any better over time.

It's a standard metric press fit.
Should be able to get it at a good hardware store if not a regular auto store.

Thanks for the reply guys. I will call suncoast tomorrow to locate the bolts. I broke the second bolt 1 hour ago and it took a while to get the broken part out. These OEM bolts are useless! I am almost afraid to touch other bolts

Could be smoke and mirrors..
I spray, let soak in.. then start the car, let the stuff heat up.
Then after it cools I spray again and let sit overnight.
All my bolts came out pretty easily.
