My Tubi's Finally Arrived!
After weeks of waiting...
My Tubi's finally came! I am determined to install it myself since I am several hours away from the nearest Tubi installer in Boston.
I started last night by removing the bumpers. I didn't have a lift, and found that removing the bumper (as per some of the previous posters' advice) was necessary to work on removing the OEM mufflers. I didn't have to remove the rear wheels though.
I will be working on removing the OEM mufflers today after work. More pics to follow!

The rear bumper support/heatshield comes off by removing those two aluminum bolts. Five bolts and one screw on each muffler heatshield assembly and they come off too. Super easy stuff back there. In fact the absolute hardest part is the little torx screw just inside the wheel liner to remove the bumper. (I jack the car up to access it easier)
That said, rear lights, bumper, and heat shields can all be off the car in under 10 minutes. Very logical assembly I must say.
Oh and enjoy the Tubi! Very cool!

I'm also curious to see if your tips end up like mine did.....tilted upwards. Stock tips on stock exhaust go pretty much straight out. This is a picture of my stock tips mounted on the Tubi.

Here are some updated pics from last night...
Got the OEM mufflers off, which was fairly easy...
Getting the silencer off was next...
Tubi bypass went on perfectly...
The Tubi side mufflers went on next...
I did fire up the car before I went to bed and BOY! Did it GROWL! I will post a POST audio clip of it once I get the bumpers back on.
Oh, SANDWEDGE: I will get a pic of the tailpipe angle for you once I get it on. One thing I notice about this system, is that there is a removable section of pipe where the tips attach to. So the angle can be adjusted UP or DOWN. There is a clamp that you can tighten to secure and lock the tip angle in place. I will take a pic of it as well sometime later.
Oh, by the way...when I reconnected my battery (I had to disconnect it because I was also changing my black OEM seatbelts to the RED ones), I got the dreaded PSM FAILURE! YIKES! Fortunately, I found a thread here assuring me that this is normal when the battery is disconnected. And that it should go away once I drive the car a few miles. Hope it's true! LOL. I do have a durametric tool which I got last week. Haven't used it yet.
More pics to come...
