What do you do when your car gets rain on it
#107
Once I get it home in the garage, after it gets rain on it...I get out of the car and then point at it, and scold it very pejoratively. Then I close the garage door and go inside the house so that it has time to think about what it has done.

1) Protect your paint with a good coat of wax atleast twice a year. This should minimize water spots as the
wax will cause the water to bead.
2) Avoid auto car washes as just a few trips to most such auto washes will strip your wax.
3) Wash your car regularly (once a week atleast depending on usage). Avoid fast wipedowns as they
can induce swirl marks on the paint (more so in dark colored cars)
4) Enjoy your car. I promise it won't melt in the rain. Really ...
5) Dr. Porsche will be weeping in his grave if he knows that people are fearful of driving their 911s when it rains.

I have a 2005, nicely configured slate gray over terra cotta full leather, decent miles, 6MT, well taken care of, IMS done, new clutch, all maintenance up to date - selling for $3500 as a parts car - got caught in the rain yesterday. That car is now dead to me. Take it away, please

Huge thunderstorm here in the NE today. Rain so thick it was hard to see. My 09 C4S seemed to do best under full throttle around corners in 1st. You could just get the tires loose (a little).

Rain? I live in Northern California, so this thread confuses me. What is this "rain" you're talking about? I have a vague memory of something related to the sky & water from my years living in Seattle, but rain...?
Yeah, sorry- you lost me.
