Default Appropriate way to show thanks to service advisor and manager

Hey fellas -

I had an 08 CPO targa 4s, long story, but ultimately received reman engine from PNA. 3 month ordeal, but the service advsor and director were both very understanding of my frustration and made sure I was taken care of.

I considered giving cash as a way of showing thanks, but don't want to belittle them or misinterpret this gesture.

Thoughts on appropriate ways to thank them for the work and attention they've given?

Bring 'em lunch next time in, and write some nice letters to the dealership's GM and PCNA, expressing your satisfaction.

Seriously, gift cards are an excellent way to show your appreciation.

My brother use to run several dealerships and I asked him about the same thing. He said cash is a bad idea because if anyone else gets a wiff that you are giving the SA cash, they may think he is giving you discounts in trade for cash. Better off with what other's mentioned, gift cards, thank you letters etc. My SA loves trying new beers so I'm always on the lookout whenever I see something unusual. Also, lunch and/or bake goods do well with the service team.

Why not just a thank you card. Gives them something to put on there desk for clients and managers/co-workers to see.

After all they were just doing their job.

Send a formal letter to the top brass noting the exceptional service experience delivered by the advisor and director. Photocopy this letter and send it, accompanied by a hand-written thank you note, to the advisor and director.

Get them LAID! haha
Seriously though, I take care of people w/ my Yankee season tickets. If you're not a season ticket holder anywhere, you might want to go to stubhub, etc and get a great pair of tix for them!

Bottle of Tiger Blood.

Seriously, I'd do the letter thing.

A couple of techs helped me big time with a wrecked car and one day I was there and bought them lunch off the lunch wagon. Once (maybe twice) I've brought in store bought donuts. I have plans on baking scones but haven't had any time to bake or cook anything.

Sincerely,

Macster.

After my service advisor told me that Porsche decided to cover my engine replacement I bought him a very nice bottle of champagne. He put a lot of work into the whole effort (his job) and I wanted him to know that I appreciated it.
