The 997 and the 993 weight the same. Just FYI. Its a pretty common misconception and one that 993 owners like to throw in the face of 997s, but is false.

Really? I did not think so. For example, my 993 Turbo weights just over 3,300 pounds. I thought the 997's were already over 3,400.

*OK, I just checked on the 997.2's (all manuals...PDK adds weight):

911 3,075 pounds
911S 3,131 pounds
911 Turbo 3,461 pounds

I don't know how much a 993 weights.
