I LOVE my gundo hack!!!! SO worth it and really opens up the sound too.

I'm all about the sound... I admit it.
I\ wish there was 1 guy with 1 microphone that had sound clips all taken from the same distance from each muffler..It's impossible to compare using what I could fine online.
Any CT. owners want to let me listen to their muffler hack or swap this spring?
(Muffler only.... no complete systems)

Sorry to hijack the thread but if there's someone in the north jersey/ NYC area I'd be interested to know as well.

I don't usually go out for this stuff but it's really a nice cheap mod for a great sound. Silly I know but fun.

Really I'm just looking for any welder that can lay a nice bead with the MIG in stainless steel. The welding you see in most muffler shops is shameful.

I live in NJ but I had mine done at Fister Exhaust in CA. Darin has been making these for years and offers all kinds of options (plain, Ceramic, etc....) and they sound the best. I have had 993 mufflers from Darin as well as a set for my 997. Friends have had their 996 done as well. You send yours and he sends them back. Sometimes he even has a set sitting there so you can keep you originals and get a set from him. He has very good prices and the quality is fantastic. His welding is great as his main/original trade was ornamental metal fences.... hence the welding skill. He is often a contributor on Rennlist. I don;t have his email off hand but if you do a web search he comes up.
