Default oem short shift vs. sherkwerks

Hi,

I found an older post on this but I thought I would ask the question for today. The oem one seems to be 3x the price. Is there much difference? Im in the bay area so I can drive for either and not put it in myself, which I would likely butcher.

Also if anyone has general thoughts on how useful it is that would be great too. I know people talk about it being a bit rough hitting first when cold but I never go to the cold.

Thanks

With as many times as your engine and gearbox have been pulled lately you should have swapped it then. That's where most of the cost is.

But the SSK install is all inside - engine/tranny drop wouldn't be involved.

I think its just the shift box but yes that would have been smart. But everything is working well now so ill take what I have and be happy.

I just can't imagine that the oem kit is worth three times an aftermarket.
