That is just not acceptable. I feel bad for you but this is not the end of the world. Check this car out: http://sunset.porschedealer.com/new/...84053/info.php

Due to my recent purchase of a custom order Cayenne, I know the sales manager very well. If you have any interest let me know I can try to help you out by making a phone call and talking to the manager. I obviously have no affiliation to the dealer (who is in fact 3 hrs away from my place) but was very impressed with their ethics and customer service.

You're right, it's not the end of the world. It may be a chance to get a car even more optimally spec'd out for better dollars.

As soon as I calm down I am going to start figuring out which is best for me.

I have already decided that I will be telling the owner, in detail, how unethical his salesman has been.

Thanks for the offer to help.

Paver you should contact the sales manager at Barrier and try to work your original deal. They obviously want out of this 2010 and now that it is not going to your local dealer, he just may match that price. One thing for sure you don't want to deal with with your local dealer.
Don't worry about warranty, the dealer cannot refuse to do any repairs. If he did, he risks losing his franchise.
The price you were paying was a good deal for a car that was your dream car. Don't give up!!!

this is so F'n stupid -

sorry someone had to say it - i mean what does it take, some sort of PhD in underhanded worm tactics to be allowed to hand a salesperson a wad of cash and say I want -----------> that car!

WTF is wrong with this picture, stupid !

Barrier sucks (which is why (someone I know) went to Sunset for his 3rd porsche - second was an pre-owned, doesnt count)
