saw this quote somewhere:

In the United States, MSRP will be $81,300 for the Coupe and $91,300 for the Cabriolet, representing an approximate $6,000 MSRP savings over a similarly equipped 911 Carrera.

can that be right? or is it a currency exchange miscalc? :P

Ehh ... I'm going to wait for the 21st variant of the current gen 997 : The donut edition

http://www.donutcushion.net/

My hemorrhoids are really bothring me these days. It even comes color matched to exterior paint. Helps me coz I'm not a big fan of black.

Sorry guys just had to rub it in. A special edition without any performance upgrades on a sports car is just not what I expect from Porsche.

Thumbs down

Limited to 1,911 cars. I don't know about you, but Porsche looks like Cadillac on this one.

Go to Porsche USA its the real deal. 1911 cars for a limited edition is far to many. 911 has a better ring to it.

sounds like they have a few more 997 than they expected before the launch of the 991... I would not be surprised to see the 991 coming sooner than expected and some good deals one plain jane 997

I hope it's a discounted package.

I guess they have a few 911 bodies and 3.6 engines to move before the 991 debuts. This is only the beginning. I foresee special editions for every color beofre this is over.

Oh, hell. Why don't they just stitch "Armani" into the headrests and give out free cologne with it?

Seriously, though. Can't they just offer deep discounts on whatever 997s they need to move before the new model drops and retain some semblance of brand dignity?
