Default XM Mobridge Antenna

Hi Guys,

I am a new P owner and planning my first mods.

I was planning to install a mobridge XM module. Looks pretty straight forward.

For those who have had it installed,

where did you put the small antenna to hide it?

Thanks

There is a DIY which shows removing the cowl and attaching it with glue underneath.

I simply placed mine underneath the cowl to something magnetic behind the battery on the passenger side and it works pretty well. My antenna I had was magnetic and it works pretty well.

Maybe that would work. Do you happen to have any pics of your install? Do you have also the mObridge XM module?

There is a post at
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...tall-w-pcm-21/
where you can download a PDF of a factory Sat radio install. I mounted mine on top of the Navigation unit in the front trunk, otherwise the install is basically the same. Don't be afraid of the fiber optics - piece of cake, just don't kink them.

I actually have the Dension unit for Bluetooth and iPod and the Nav-tv unit for Sirius/XM, I hear good things about the Mobridge

Thanks for the link. its not working though when I tried to download the instructions.

Thats my next DIY( Ihope).

Spent 5 hrs to install the Mobridge BT/Ipod. I was taking my time as I did not want to mess up my interior. But very happy.
