there is no 'cost' by itself. if you can afford it - buy it, if not - do not buy it.

i would understand if you would ask about 'value' - in total combo of engine3ering hours spent on design of any part, manufacturing costs, marketing hype - but there is no 'cost in this car' term.

this car is priced at the level current market is ready to pay for it. no more no less. i find current prices on used 3 year old 997 cars to be excellent, I got mine when it was 50% depreciated and I love it.
