Default Can this rim be repaired? (see pic)

Am thinking about buying a set of OEM Carrera Sports. All wheels in great condition except for this one. The seller sent me this pic. Of course I'll inspect in person before buying, but want to get some opinions from you guys before I trek out there.

Do you think this much curb rash can be brought back to like-new?

Thanks for your help!

Ask your Porsche dealer who they use. Also, these guys are magicians. - should be one in your area.

You'll never know it was "rashed" when the right people repair it.

+1 all the above are right. Seen them do wonders on far worse wheels!

There are two ways to deal with the Carrera Sports. One method is to fix it and paint it to match, but you will always see a difference. The other method (which I have used on a couple of the same rims) is to take it to a guy who will machine that edge correctly and then repaint the rim. Note that the Carrera Sport is the only Carrera rim that has to be machined along the edge--all the others are painted with a silver paint, all the way to the rubber. Those are easier to fix.

Had a much bigger rash than that on my turbo wheels repaired two days ago. Can't tell it was ever there. I had to leave the car over night. Turbo wheels have a metal finish so i think it was machined.
