You might reach out to the County's District Court and ask them for your options. While I realize every state is different, I did this on the recommendation of a County Prosecutor friend of mine after I received a ticket last Feb and was told by the county court to include an addition $50 with the fine and if I don't get another ticket in 12 months (2/11) there will be no record of the citation. Only 2.5 months to go...

just did this for my son who was nicked in austin- paid an atty 75$+ court costs, no points, dd course on line and probation (no tickets in austin for 3 months) and hes done

That wasn't just for a speeding ticket was it? Otherwise just ask for dd - don't need to get an attorney involved.
