Default Fall Drive in NH

I have had my '07 997 for about 3 weeks. I have already put 700 miles on the car and I am damn proud of it considering my last P-car only got 1500 miles per year. I went for a drive on the back roads of NH with my 84 year old Chinese mother-in-law. It is very funny. She loves my car and jumps at any chance to drive in it with me. Today we were diving on some fairly twisty roads at speeds up to 55mph. I thought that was reasonable since the are was sparsely settled. I took one hard left turn at about 30, apexed the corner but I guess not enough since the rear slipped a little. This car is definitely a different driving experience compared to the C4 I used to have. I think I need to do a few DE's and auto-crosses next year. I am also contemplating going to the Porsche driving school in Alabama. Here are some pics from today. The last one is taken on my mother-in-laws front lawn!

Pretty much the same as it is in mid-coast (Freeport to Searsport) Maine. Leaves starting to turn but not at their peak yet.

You are a nice son-in-law! Hehehe. Those are great pics! Next year, drive through Kancamagus highway! The leaves have passed their peak, unfortunately. I too have thought of going to the Porsche driving school. Most definitely next year if my schedule permits.

Nice shots and beautiful car! I was planning on taking a drive this week up through that area but the weather doesn't look good until Friday.

Hey Edgy. It has been great driving these last couple weeks. I just hope the snow holds off for a while. Nude Hampster....very funny. LOL!! I will have to use it at work on occasion.
I am trying to get used to the RWD compared to my AWD C4. The back end has been a little squirrely of late. I think is it is because I am going too fast into turns and letting off the gas before finishing the entire turn. The C2 is definitely a different driving experience compared to the C4. I think I like it better although I have to be more careful.

Remember to get MOST of your braking out of the way before you enter the turn (especially on rain-slicked fall leaves!!)

I used to live in Nashua, and before that Concord, MA and Lexington, MA. Beautiful country. Great Porsche country when the weather permits!

Thanks for the braking tips Edgy. I will do that. I used to live in Nausea as well. The town has grown since I left there 20 years ago. I now live in Hopkinton NH. I am trying to drive my Pcar as much as possible before the snow flies. You are correct though about the leaves on the road. That combined with the 3 days of rain makes for very slippery conditions especially on the rarely traveled back roads.

I remember Hopkinton. My ex-wife's family had a boat up near there on Lake Winnipesaukee.
