Flushed Motul 600RBF through last week, had track alignment and clear bra'd the front end. Car held up great! Braking from the end of the straight doing 125mph to hard 90 degree right hander (turn 1) - no issues at all w/ stock pads/rotors. In fact I was amazed at them, even more so by how lame Viper brakes were until you get to a Viper ACR.
A great write up. Sorry you couldn't pass the viper. One question. Any damage to your car during the DE event? Thinking of tracking my TT one day. Reluctant at this time. Afraid to ruin that new patina.
But if I ever want to truly enjoy my car I will have to take it to the track. Kudos for you my friend.
Hey Chuck, glad to hear you got her to the track. For those of you not in the know, Chuck's a very experienced track guy and I ran with him in One Lap a few years ago.
Fluid, pads, and wheels / tires is all one really needs. I think you can get up to about -1 degree camber up front with stock control arms (-2.3 is just right with GT3 arms). I'm back to really liking Pagid Yellow 29s all around for the 09 w/ Sport PASM, but you have to take out all of the anti-vibration shims to fit them. I'd say it takes me about 45 minutes to swap out 4 wheels / pads, much easier than with the M3. And you have that slick lift in your garage! Shoot me an email
Every one of my Porsches have been enjoyed on street and track. It's almost sad to think of all those wonderful cars never being exercised as they were designed to do. I have always felt that the car runs better after a day at the track, engine purring like a kitten.
Remember, it's only a car, not a statue. Examine your car and if you find even 1 tiny stone nick from the highway then you are ready for the track. Might you pick up another nick? Possibly. Your tires are going to get a little melty, which goes away after a while on the street. But the grin and memories you will have = Priceless.

No damage. Worst was driving through a swarm of bugs getting up to the track on the 3 hr trip. So cleaning it took awhile to get all the bugs and brake dust off. It didnt even burn any oil. To date have only added 0.5q oil, and that was not long after I did my own oil change.
Finally got around to getting some pics up. RonCT you're right. These cars are a BLAST on track!!!
