First Thing You Did After Delivery?
I'm sitting here waiting for information to come back about a '09 C2S before I commit to purchasing it, I'm wondering what the first thing I would want to do the day I take delivery. That is, of course, if everything comes back right.
Drive the twisties with the missus? Twisties solo? Show off to friends? Cruise around town? Drive straight home, park in garage, and sit and drool over it and/or read manual front to back then back to front? Drive to photogenic location and take 500 pics of the car? Some or all of the above? Thinking about all of this is driving me insane. At this point I'll be happy to just have the keys in my hand.
What did you do when you took delivery?

Can be dangerous to be too adventurous with any new car - although I am sure you will take it for a good sping simply to see if everything is OK.

Jay,
1. Drive the twisties (solo, so you can get intimately emotional if you want ).
2. Stop in the middle of your drive and take pics.
3. Turn around and re-drive twisties.
4. Get home and post pics here.
5. Sneak out to the garage 4 or 5 times the first evening to drool!

I did a weekend-long autocross cone clinic the day after I got my temp tags. Really got to know the car, and in a nice safe environment with experienced people to help, too!

Drove it to Austria! Ok, so it was factory delivery and from Stuttgart that was the first destination on our itinerary. Great to get it on the road in Europe but a little nerve wracking with a new car and unfamiliar surroundings.
If I'd been here, I would have driven it home, parked it in the driveway and read through the owners manual while sitting in the drivers seat, playing with all the controls. Good luck with your new car!

Drove from the Factory delivery center to Lake Konstanz followed up by roaming around in the Black Forrest. Sadly it was the height of the rape seed pollination so the car ended up having layers of yellow pollen all over it.
