As I just took delivery 3 hours ago, I just drove 110 miles home with one heck of a smile.

On Thursday I am taking a bus to Boston and picking up my '07 911. Then I get to drive it back to NH about 100 miles. I can't wait.
Great looking car btw. Love the wheels.

Thanks. I drove like an "old lady" as I was unfamiliar with the car. Even with my very conservative speed, it was a great drive. I hope your delivery goes as well as it did for me.

I went directly for a dirve in the twisties, then sat in garage and drooled, then went out for another drive, then sat again and drooled, then took the wife and family for a drive, then sat and drooled...

Heck that pattern is still going on today. Just finished another round of Zaino, done drooling again, about ready to leave for another drive!

Stay on top of that drool. It can be bad for the interior.

I took my C2S to an autocross while it was still in paper plates. I think you ought to get a -2 second PAX adjustment for dealer tags, it's only fair.

My RS I bought in Nashville and promptly drove it home to Houston. The thousand mile road trip was a great way to bond with the new car. Next best thing to Euro delivery (which was sadly unavailable when i bought my last car. I'm doing it for the next one though).

If the DME report/inspection all goes to plan, I take delivery on Thursday as well! Glad to know someone will have a grin on their face that day, too.

Wow, some of you are lucky - autocross, long trips home to bond with car, Euro delivery, etc. Sitting in the garage (no driveway for me, in a rental townhouse) reading the manual, wiping the drool from my face, with 4-5 trips out to the garage that night will probably be it on the first day. Friday's commute in will be heaven, I've picked out a nice long route. Currently house hunting so I'm hoping that the wife will have a LOT of open houses to go to that weekend.

Be careful what you wish for... she may insist on taking the Porsche!

Hi. I'm trying to figure out where that 'autobahn' is. I like the San Marcos pass between SB and the 101. I think I brought mine home from P of SB and waxed it before doing anything else.

I will let you know how it goes. Got the V-1 ready, but I am debating on leaving it home so I am not tempted to drive too fast. NH is top 10 for speed limit enforcement. I have to be careful. Today on my way back from the White Mountains in northern NH I drove through 4 speed traps in 70 miles of highway. The V-1 helped me navigate that mine field.

The Valentine 1 is good for SA--Situation Awareness. I installed it in mine sort of permanently and have it there even though I keep it fairly slow most of the time. It's just nice to know what's going on around you.

Thanks Edgy. I think I will take it with me for the ride. I too like to know when someone is watching me. It is my right to know if someone is monitoring my activities. Also have you looked at the K40 portable detector? I was wondering if it is as good as the V1? I am going to buy another detector for this car and unless the K40 is better I am going to get a V1. I suspect the V1 is the best, however. Thanks for all your help.
