That is a great car...Got a ride in one. I wish the Microsoft Sync could be in all cars. It is amazing!

Post some pics of your new 'Stang! I like what Ford has been doing with the Mustang for the street and that they are supporting cars in the Rolex Grand Am series.

Buy two. Put one in a barn and don't touch it for 30 years.

Have a ball! No problem as far as I'm concerned.

As long as it has wide enough rubber on it (unlike most 'stangs I see) you can't really dis those cars for the fun production and safety factor.

Had one just like it next to me the other day. Muscular looking car for sure. Cracked the window open for a listen and got one sweet rumble in return. It was actually loud enough where I kind of doubt it was stock. They're that loud out of the box?

I interact daily with upper management, and they were informed that I was going outside the dealership to purchase a Porsche. They were ok with it, but wished I had found something from all our dealerships, Toyota, BMW,Nissan, Mercedes,Mazda,Cadillac.
This I would have serious issues with but that's just me. A management team that as much as comments on where and how they think employees should spend their own money is not a team I would associate with for long. It's fine to offer discounts, incentives and invitations but it needs to stop at that imo.

The 2011 GT and GT500 appear to be genuinely great cars.

The upcoming 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca, however, promises to demand respect, even from Porsche and BMW drivers. I'm not a 'limited edition', 'anniversary', or 'nostalgia model' fan, but this one delivers the goods.

yeah, pics of your new ride ...

it's still a Mustang, so only a real enthusiast would appreciate the fact that it's a GT500.
When the aftermarket parts start coming out for the 5.0 ( Steeda, Roush, Saleen, Whipple, tuners, etc ) it's going to turn it up a notch and really make that car a beast.

Also, the 302 Boss Laguna Seca edition.... WOW! definitely a track *****...

jason

I see only one long term solution. Tell them you volunteer to open a Porsche dealership and be the general manager. That would solve the issue.

Please post pics!

I'm not going to be a Mustang Enthusiast probably ever. I had a ZR1 a few years ago and never really caught on to the Corvette enthusiasm. The whole Ford vs Chevy thing gives me a headache, but I think Ford has come along way with the Mustang, or about as far as you can with the "old school" suspension they use.
Initial impressions from driving it today is that it has very mild road manners, decent ride quality, great seats, great exhaust sound. Very nice touch screen Nav/radio/phone.
The power is very strong and linear, handling is good and confident.

Whats a GT500?

Please tell me you've still got that beautiful 993...

I am really glad American muscle cars are making a comeback. Relatively affordable + a lot of fun = WIN.

I don't get the hate, either. (Or the apathy, for that matter. We're car guys, aren't we?? Why stop with 911s?) The new Mustang and Camaro are dramatically improved over earlier generations, and massively powerful engines for dirt cheap is simply awesome! I love my Porsche, but I'm drooling over the latest GT500 just the same.

Most of us are, yes. Some of us...
