i have received quite a few emails, none really trying to barter as the price is very good already... the economy right now feels a little slow tho (i notice with my business aug/sept is always slower for high dollar purchases tho)

i have had 2 people wanting to come fly and see it and are looking at their schedules, so for me its not taking "that long" just gotta find the right buyer... also many people think with the price there are problems, but the car doesn't have any problems... they really need to fly and come see/drive it and know that its just truly a good deal. the price is right on spot for "trade in" value and as soon as i decide what i want my 2nd car to be I might just try and trade it in. (buying exige next week, (found another one cause first wasn't what i was looking for)

car should be traded in tomorrow, funny thing is i went to smart dealer and they offered me 65 off the bat on the porsche, then i got them down 4k on the smart.. so i get basically a "free" smart and 65k for the porsche from a legit no hassle buyer.

What's a "smart"? You don't mean Smart Car do you?

Good luck with the Smart, Riley. It's a cute car, but I am a bit leery about driving it on highways, especially the traffic on I-75.

i hate dealers!

get everything agreed upon, started signing papers and then their "buyer" backed out of the porsche.. so then they needed "more" money of course... they are going to get some more buy numbers now and reassess the deal, i dont NEED a smart car at all, was only doing the deal to get porsche gone..

Sorry to hear... that always sucks. Do you believe they had a buyer? I think they are giving you a runaround. Off chance they have seen this thread too!

Smarts are great cars. I have been driving a Brabus version (factory tuned) since 2005. Car is steel all around, and I did get into an accident and it behaved very well. Expensive as HELL to fix! IN any case I think that for speeds of say up to 70 miles or so it should be ok. Now if you get into an accident head on at 90 mph then I think all bets are off. Speed limiter set at around 90 anyway...

In any event, changing the deal on you last minute is a major turnoff and understandable if you walk away... I do hope they end up giving you a decent deal, or a proper buyer shows up for the 911, it sure as hell looks good enough. Good luck.

i looked them up as well, thats auction results tho, so its the lowest of the low... im not going to sell it for that, thats basically "we cant sell it send it to auction" or "the history of this car is iffy, send it to auction" id rather put myself into a 6 car pile up than go that low.

ill wash it and take some pics and get a buyer privately at 65 since these dealers all suck.. the car is paid for so costs me nothing to keep till it sells. if my price was unreasonable then this would be a dick comment, but my price is very good and competitively priced.

Riley, be patient. If I'd be looking to spend $65K on a Porsche, it would never ocure to me to look at 09 cars.
