Default power outlets / cigarette lighters not working

hey guys, i was trying to power up a device using the power outlets today and none of the three (footwell, cigarette, armrest) work.

I checked fuses (row A, number 8 & 10) and they seem fine. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Car is an 06 997 C2S.

Perhaps it is the device? Is there a ready light on the device? Does it work in another car?

Got a multimeter? Use it to check your P-car outlets.

I've found that the outlets in the car are a little difficult. Sometimes certain devices just do not seat well. Perhaps you have another 12V DC device which can put them to the test.

Agreed, try other devices in there before you go too far into it. After that start checking if you have power in the outlets with your DMM.

Duh, it was the fuses. The break in the fuse was so tiny i couldnt see it with my glasses. The multimeter / ohm meter solved it for me. Thanks guys!

One thing I just found out, the power outlet is only 7.5amps but the center one is 15amp... Well, I pulled out my air compressor the other week to check it out and blew the fuse and wasn't sure why. I put it off till now to look into it, so little word of advise, be sure to use the center power output/ash tray one when using the compressor. Oh, and I am sure it says it somewhere on the compressor to only use that one but for those of us who don't read it there hopefully read it here.

The owners manual specifically says for the compressor to use the one in the center arm rest.

Yeah, I figured that out the hard way... I knew it said it somewhere but I just pulled it out to check the compressor since I bought the car.
