Why does the tpms do this?

The TPMS system does need to be set up for the correct type of tire (winter/summer), diameter (18" or 19") and load (full/partial) as the case may be. I've not had any issues with my system, but then my winter and summer tires are 18" and I'm always set to partial load, so I only need to change the summer/winter setting.
