Default Bought a spare - will it fit 997 C2? Help!

Hello-
Bought a collapsable spare from LA Breakers.
They sent a 996 362 150 00 165/70 16 spare. Anyone know if this will fit
my 997 C2? Hope I didn't get hosed. Thanks.

You could always try mounting it to see if it fits.

Yes it will fit. Looks something like this, right?

At first glance that's the package I got. Except after researching all of the spare tire archives the one I got is different in a few ways.

Archives say: 996 362 020 02 is the correct part number
Wheel size is 5.5 x 17
Tire size 185/60-17 93P (like you have)

I received: 996 362 150 00
Wheel is 5.5 x 16
Tire size 165/70-16
The foam insert sits in the rim but only by about 2 inches,
it doesn't fit all the way inside the wheel.
Edge to edge the wheel measures 17" which is
correct for a 16" tire.

On the invoice from LA Dismantlers it says it's a 996 C4S Spare.
So the questions are is it a C4S spare, will it clear the 997
calipers and is it ok to run a 16" tire with the stock 18" tires?

Hey Buddy. FWIW, This is not the spare you should prefer (below). It is from a BoxsterS. It will barely fit into your 997 trunk and will take up all the space since it has to be slanted to fit. It WILL work, but is a PITA. I'm sorry I don't have any part numbers. The only facts I have: it IS from a BoxsterS (986) and it fits on a 997 _S_ and presumably will fit on smaller brakes of the 997.

If it clears calipers it is okay to run even though the OA diameter size is different. If it is from a 996 it will fit a 997 with red calipers as long as the red calipers are NOT those on a Turbo (also - will NOT fit any yellow caliper-equipped (PCCB) car)
