Anyone using 10W60?
I just called my local shop for an Oil change, before my track day next week.
He suggests Lubro Moly 10W60 Synthetic oil (German oil), he said all of his Porsches use this oil, He said when they ran Daytona this oil did better than Mobil-1. Anyone has had issues running 10W60? This is the oil:

Or, I can just do the Total - Porsche Approved 5W40. 10W60 is $13/litre, 5W40 is 8-9$/litre.
Also, I am between choosing ATE Type-200 (same boiling as ATE Super Blue) vs. Motul 5.1 or Motul RBF 600. Any feedback on any of those?

I would not use oil not approved by Porsche in my car. As to brake fluid, the Motul RBF 600 is the best of the ones you listed. RBF 660 is even better.

Now, with RBF600, some said they're not that great for street (absorb moisture quicker) as they have less longevity and need to be replaced sooner than others, is that correct?

I'm on 5W-50 ; I know some track guys run 15W-50 . Smaller range is supposed to be better. I wouldn't run 60 myself.
As for the brake fluid - go for the Motul 600. The cost & trouble of the flush is so much greater than the cost of the fluid, just get the best. Hell I wish I had just gone with Castrol SRF. It's only another $100 and lasts so much longer under stress.

Thanks, so do I need 1 or 2 litres of brake fluid?

If you want a thicker approved oil get Castrol Syntec 5w-50. I use Motul RBF660 brake fluid and it has not let me down at the track. The ATE blue or gold stuff is junk.

You will be fine with the factory 0-40 oil. Better brake fluid than the factory fill will be needed for DE. You will need two bottles - you'll have some left over.

As the data sheet shows the 10w-60 oil is quite viscous even at high temperature.
This represents friction (hydraulic friction) and can increase the oil's operating temperature over and above what it would otherwise be with a lower viscosity oil in the engine. IOWs you run a thcker oil cause the thicker oil runs hotter cause it is thicker.
Mobil 1 0w-40 a bit of a lightweight oil in that Mobil has appeared to cut back on its quality some but many use it. I have used it for many thousands of miles and as long as one changes it often -- I change the oil every 5K miles -- and visits the track with fresh oil one should be ok.
A better oil is Mobil 1 5w-50 or Castrol Syntec 5w-50. I use the latter having switched over recently from the Moibl 1 5w-50 oil. Castrol easier to find.
Or any name brand sythetic 5w-40 oil approved by Porsche would be ok. This gives you several score of oils to chose from.

Ive been using 10w-60 on my car and the oil temp is always lower under hard driving vs the 0w-40.

Even with moisture absorption, the Motul RBF 600 has a higher boiling point than many other brake fluids
