My Porsches came with orange, and I'm sticking with orange. They especially look good on gray/silver cars. Don't cave on this, FI Flyer.

Beautiful car, by the way. I, too, like the cocoa leather.

I didn't. It has Sport Chrono Plus, turning lights and some other goodies that I omitted to keep the post from becoming a laundry list. I have edited the original post to add SCP because I agree that it is sufficiently important that it should be listed.

To the OP: Congrats! I'm partial to Meteor Gray.

Interesting. Almost all the Meteor Gray cars I've seen have had black or grey interiors. I had hoped to get Sand Beige, but couldn't find a unit specced the way I wanted when I was ready to buy. I've never seen Cocoa in the flesh, but it looks nice!

Yes you are - SC is a big deal with PDK. You may want to read up on it. If you get a 6 speed its definitely not essential. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - i like the wart.

Wow...love your color combo. I have two preteens, shoehorned at the back seats all the time. Wish I had the manual controls for my adaptive sorts seats. It takes forever to move the seat to and fro with the auto controls.

The stopwatch or the 'wart' is the least important reason to have a SC. It's probably the number one option to have on a 997.2 with PDK. It adds a sports/sports plus button which remaps the engine to give such an aggressive response and let's you have that much more fun shifting gears in the manual mode. It holds lower gears as long as possible only changing up when the revs hit 7200 rpm. I am sorry, but there is no way I would want a PDK equipped car without a SC. Just play with one and then you will know what I am talking about.

Just how many grey colours do they put on the 997. Mine is seal gray - very nice too but there is also slate grey and now meteor grey? Its just that many seem very close to each other.

My preferred grey if I was ordering new would be Slate grey.

I also like the 'wart' - anytime I see a 997 without one the dash seems a bit 'empty' somehow.

By the way if you can get the June 2010 (No 144) issue of EVO magazine there is an article on the 'wart' - negative of it but an interesting read all the same.

Nice car. I think the color combo works great.

Some cars look better with the Orange side markers - yours, could go either way - worth a look. On my car, no red brakes, so the only color is from the wheel centers and I like the way the orange picks up on them in the front and the red taillights in the back. But you have red brakes, so....

Absolutely beautiful. Love the cocoa, have it in my car. Looks great with the Gray. Enjoy!
