First Pictures of my New C4S
It seems to be semi-obligatory to post pictures when you (finally) get your new Porsche. Why should I be an exception?
I took these pictures on delivery day and will do better in the future but here they are.
The color is Meteor Gray. The interior is Cocoa leather.
Without reprinting the entire options list, it is a C4S with PDK, Sport Chrono Plus, sport seats (manual), rear wiper, park assist and the model designation painted to match the body.
The color combination works well. From the outside, the interior simply looks dark while from the inside, the exterior is not very visible. To the extent that you can see them both they go well together. (I was at the PCA Concours on Long Island yesterday and was thrilled to see that one of the winners -- a Boxter -- was the exact same colors as my new car.) It is a slightly unusual combination but it works well. Lots of compliments -- but that could just be politeness.

A beauty. Why is SC so important? I would think it is of great value if you track the car and every tenth of a second counts. But does SC really add value if driving agressively on some beautiful mountain twisties . And that wart on the dash is ugly as !@#$. Am I missing something?

That color combination was quite popular when the 997 was introduced. Perhaps because it was close to that seen in the original ad brochures. SC is even more important in the PDK cars.
