Thanks!

Re bugs: I carry a spray bottle with diluted detailer (actually Optimum No Rinse) and a few rags and clean the mess on the bumper, windshield and side mirrors when I stop for gas. It's a 5 min cleanup that prevents damage and saves a lot of work later on. There were some bugs on the radiators but not a lot; they are mostly carried by the free aero flow.

Thanks! I think I only saw 3 Porsches on the road, a 911 SC, a 996 and a 997.2 C4S - all south of Mendocino. I waived or flashed my lights and received no feedback. OTOH, on the Avenue of the Giants a Corvette C6 waived to me and I waived back.

Thanks Dan! I love your photos too! Re the roads... you know all about these too. As you say, these cars must be driven.

Beautiful pics and car. My aunt and uncle have a place about 5 miles north of Jenna (Jenner?). Been through Mendocino, Russian River, Bodega Bay and that area quite a bit.

ADias,

What a great looking road trip. Love the shots w/ your car. I am really looking forward to my first big trip in my 09S. Was it a one day drive or 2?

With all the severe storms we've had in the midwest I am afraid to go to far w/o checking radar and knowing where I can park in a garage. My previous car a M3 got hail damaged twice and I am kinda jumpy w/ my new ride.

Two-day drive. But it could have been a 3-day drive.
