But, what about the acustics. Also, is it better with PASM?

If you read the manual you will find seats are adjustable only if you have Sport Chrono Plus

SPASM, in sport mode, 1 seat up and 1 seat down - best accoustics..

As I said, I took the seatbacks out... not sure if the sound is any better, but I like the look and the utility better.

Down. That's where the golf clubs go and you secure them with the redundant golf club retention straps in the corners by the speaker openings.
I usually have my golf clubs ride shotgun.
My back seats are usually up.

From that photo it's amazing just how much more of an area there is in the rear of a "911" than there used to be. As the physical size of the engines goes down, Porsche increases the size of that rear area. If they could only work on the leg room. I routinely keep my seats up so that the carpet doesn't fade. I actually do use them for passengers, but then when it trip time, they turn into my luggage carriers--with matching cargo tie downs of course!

just pull the rear seats out and strip your car...your music will sound better and you shave some weight of the rear

That's because the 911 is getting too big!

Here's the back of my old 1977 911S -- it's growing back there!
