Price for remaining 2009 C4S pdk launch cars?
Does anyone know what the real market price range is for remaining C4S
launch cars? There are 2 dealers within reach of me, each having the same 2009 C4S PDK meteor gray/black loaded launch car (my favorite color for the 911). MSRP is approx 110K, one dealer lists it for 93K on its "sale" sign.
I have a cayman (base) now, but want a 911 as my next car, in 3-4 years, I thought. (I only have 10K miles on my cayman). The problem is that I drive past the dealer with that d*mn meteor gray C4S launch car, displayed prominently, every day going to work! I'm starting to wonder whether I should take my lumps now and get it, earlier than I expected. (and, of course, I think I need more power)
I'm concerned with Porsche cutting down supply here and perhaps increasing prices (I'm espec. worried about the dollar), and that I'll never get this car at this kind of price again. My other thoughts: chance it and hold off, wait 'til 2011's come out, then, if still available, the price on this car might even be better. Also, worried about the bugs of this early launch car (DFI oil consumption?, etc), maybe I should wait a couple of years when some will go back on the market as CPO, or just order a new car then, for god knows what price it will be.
Any thoughts?

WHAT CONSTITUTES A "LAUNCH CAR"???????????????????????

When Porsche starts a new model or major revision (997.2 in this case), the company produces a bunch of similar introductory cars that most of the dealers get for the new model in the first model year. Each dealer, or region, usually gets only one of a particular car.
The major 2009 997.2 PDK Launch cars were:
C2--white/gray interior
C2S-porsche racing green/tan
C4S--meteor gray/black

Hockeyguy,
Ther are a couple of used C4S launch cars on the Porsche Pre-owned web site. One is at the Auto Gallery in CA, $90,250 with 611 miles. If the car has already been"punched", make them give you a CPO warranty.

Got my 2009 C4S PDK launch car in Nov withb 35 mi...now I have approx 8,500 mi...no issues other than the radio cutting out on rare occasions but the dealer will take care of it. My build date was 08/08. The seats are sports buckets...at first I was hesitant..I wanted infinitely adjustable electric and heated seats...it took all of a minute or so to be won over. Every time I get into the car I feel as if the seat was tailored to me...so much so, that I'll always opt for them in future 911's should I be so fortunate. The only dealer mods at delivery time were clear markers, 5mm spacers and Turbo wheels. The wheels are awesome...what a look...truly stunning! Those silvery OEM wheels looked cheesey to me. O well...so far so good. Will try to get long overdue photos up. The seats look killer too!

Yeah I agree the C4S overall was great, i just think they would have attracted a wider audience if they had done regular seats instead of sport seats. I'm referring more to the green, blue/tan, red, white cars that were stuffed into an already weak market. Why porsche didnt just choose more popular colors is odd to me.
