Could be - I shoot for in the middle. Yesterday it was two bars down - been showing between 1&2 down for a week - depending on.... So I put in 1/2 qt - checked it it, 1 bar down - fine. Today, I check it and it shows full. - so who knows. I reckon it is not low and not over-filled.

This after about 800 miles past my first oil change. Not complaining - just saying.

Anyway, that's my rule - add no more than 1/2 quart per topping - then see how things go - and never shoot for "full".

I have been adding the oil when it tells me it is low. Now, I wonder if the new Turbo 997.2 is going to be an oil guzzler as well.

PS Vexed...my M6 drank 2 quarts every 5000 miles...ugh!

That was the basis for my post, PSDS.

The DFI engines consume alot more oil than did the non DFI according to JB

Even with their hard running, the Carrera tips have a sooty build up....which was not the case with the 997.1.
