While I can probably get this done cheaper, elsewhere, it's a pretty big hassle and a bit of a risk for a shop to take on custom work. That, and $275 for an exhaust modification on a Porsche is still incredible value.
Well, the Gundo hack is all complete. It's not loud, but it's not exactly quiet either. Under very lite acceleration, probably won't wake up any neighbors. But if you really get on it, sounds like a muffled race car. As for the tone and sound quality, it does sound great.

I was a little concerned about that too. So I tried out the "super gundo" and thought this was a good compromise. My take on it is minimal gurgling, louder than stock and still has that PSE sound.

What is this super gundo you speak of? The video you posted sounded much worse than the traditional gundo I've heard. Obviously sound is subjective, but your video sounds like a "ricer" to me with rasp.

You realize these are the same for all 997.2 cars.

Obviously the audio variables.... super gundo is the fister bypass and the gundo combined. To me this is like the PSE with some grunt at the low end... which is what is exactly what it is.

Isn't the fister bypass the same as the gundo though?

it's confusing due to internet. As an example, I actually didn't name mine super gundo. From what I found based on gundo s first post is the mod that uses the pse port. The bypass, fister, is the bypass. Mines has both and someone called it super gundo.

Are you a BMW fan? "Zcp" as in the competition package?

"Super Gundo" isn't the same as Gundo. Gundo Bypass and added outlet from PSE port = Super Gundo.

Mines is slightly different than the photo as it has a 1" pipe from PSE port.

And to me far from sounding like a "ricer" exhuast.

1999 Porsche 996 mufflers with gundo hack in Oceanside, CA. Too loud for me.

I just bought a set from Fister last year. Best damn money I have spent on the car. Superb quality.
