Default The wait is killing me....!

I purchased my 06 Carrera end of December and had it shipped from Florida to Dubai. The car arrived Thursday and was unloaded in port but unable to clear as customs closes at 6pm...

Now I have to wait until Sunday to get it! (our work week is Sun-Thurs).

Meanwhile I drove to the port today after golf and searched for the car and found her. She's sitting in the car yard awaiting customs clearance on Sunday.

How am I gonna sleep?

I'm already thinking of lowering the car as it looks like its sitting higher than I'd like...anyway pictures to come Sunday or Monday!

Damn! I thought you've got the car by now. It's been a while in transit, but for the money you paid for shipping I think it kinda makes sense.

Report back when you pick her up!

Order stuff! Order a diecast model car 16th scale. Check out carcareonline.om for detailing stuff. Griots.com too.

SUNDAY!!?? THAT'S NOTHING BABY!!! Try umpteen weeks for some of us with only a scribbled-on order guide to hold onto.

Congrats!

What's the typical wait if you custom order your car now?

Depends on allocations, but if everything goes right figure about 4 months between the time you place the order and the time it's built, then another 4-6 weeks to ship it to the US. I placed my tourist delivery order in late January and the car was built in May. I actually picked it up in June. After dropoff at the factory, it took almost 6 weeks for it to show up at the dealer.

We missed the first sailing of the Hoegh Trooper by 2 days so my car had to sit until January 24th when it finally shipped. But for $900 U.S. it was a good deal considering the wait.

I've shipped cars via container before and although quicker 1 shipment of the 2 didn't go so well as damages occurred. This time the car went via Ro-Ro vessel designed for carrying cars solely.

Can't wait! One more day!

Does anyone know where I can pick up H&R springs at a good deal?

You might rethink this. Those springs can be really hard on you with local roads so rough from "frost heave."

Awwww what da heck! Open this NOW, enjoy keeping a little buzz on and tomorrow will be here in compressed time!

OR: Prepare the garage. Get the junk outta the way and clean up so the car sits there like it's in an art gallery. THEN crack the bottle open!

I waited 9 months for mine--and then another 2 months after Euro Delivery. You have no real wait.
