Default Newbie.....and anxious

Hello all....I have been hanging around and learning from you all for quite a while now and have recently joined the forum as I am anxiously awaiting to actively participate through ownership.

Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge and I hope I can repay shortly in the future.

I'm not the one who owns a Ford.

Welcome. Better late than never. I gradually worked my way up from a 356SC in the '60's to my current '09 C2S. So, if you start with a 997, who knows where you'll end up someday.

Yah sometimes I drive a 700hp Ford when I want to go a little faster. I'm guilty.

That will still get you 0 to 60 in ten seconds.

Sounds good but the suspense is killing me!

Be sure to let us "actively participate" if your color choice is between red, silver or black. I'm sure the correct color choice will become immediately clear.

Amazing how quick a car can be when it's not burdened by the weight of an independent rear suspension.

run, mac109. As fast as you can! Buy an old MG instead of a 997. Folks on those forums will be too busy diagnosing electrical faults to engage in the sort of skullduggery evidenced by the peanut gallery in this thread.

Also: Recently joined? From your join date you look like a long-time lurker. What do you drive now, if anything? Share with us.

I think that's a bad idea. An old MG was tailgating me and got sick of me being in front of him so he passed me rather aggressively today. Happens all the time. MGs TRs always trying to show off and run me off the road.
