Fellow 997 Owners, meet the new Shelby GT350

I would have preferred a "factory" GT350.
How many models is that now? Lost count with the Super Snake.

For what it's worth, I love the look of the car, it reminds me of the matchbox cars I had as a kid. Totally over the top and awesome, I just hate the wheel finish.
Funny how a lot of people think the Mustang handles poorly yet it hangs with/beats out the 997 in World Challenge/Grand Am all the time.

2002 Roush Mustang
2003 Ford Mustang Cobra
2009 Shelby GT500
I'd take a Roush mustang over a Shelby mustang any day of the week.
So, I know a little something about mustangs, and I haven't seen a Shelby mustang smack the **** out of anything lately.
The factory Ford mustangs, on the other hand, are doing great in motorsports.

The 2009 Shelby GT500 used a antiquated rear end. This was fine for the straights, but put it in the twisties with some bumps and you're hopping all over the place. Don't kow if the 2011 GT350 will have the same rear end or not though.

Wake me up when Shelby takes a Mustang, makes it LIGHTER, improves the seats, suspension, and tweaks the NATURALLY ASPIRATED motor for more power at high revs. You know, like on the original GT350. Then he will get my respect. Until then, he is just whoring his name on another anniversary model.
