Default '08 C4S Price

I will be making an offer tomorrow on an '08 C4S. I wanted to receive some support from a knowledgeable group on price. I would love some help with this. What would be a good price to pay for the following car:

2008 C4S
13K miles
Black exterior
Two Tone Beige/Black interior
High end Bose
Door Entry Illuminated
Carbon door gaurd/rear console
Sports Chrono
Carrera Sport Wheels
Adaptive Sports Seats
(Perfect inside and out)

Done several searches but the differences in price are large.. Any help would be appreciated.

Look some more... U can get an 09 cab with PDK for a similar price...saw more than a few priced at similar prices to what I paid for my 09 Coupe S just a few weeks ago. An no warranty issues either to boot and a better engine and suspension. U may have to be a little flexible with colors and equipment but they're out there I am sure and NOT 2 yrs old at this point. One dealer I test drove had an 09 Carrera 4S coupe with pdk and <75 miles, loaded which I seriously considered for $89k which I am sure could have gone for a little more less so I'd look further if I were you but otherwise would offer around $70k at most.

Thanks for the reply mdrobc1213,

The dealership is selling it for $65K. I told them I would think about it. I'm not sure what to counter it with.. Prices are all over the place. What would be a good counter so not to insult? KBB shows them at $57K-$69K and prices out there for '08C4S I've seen have gone from $56K-$87K....
What would be a a good price to counter?

65 sounds awesome to me. Way better than a 2009 (a 1 year old car) for 90

good luck

The dealer asking price of $65K is a very good price.

You need to get a DME readout of the over rev readings. There are 6 ranges. Over revs in the first 3 ranges are normally not an issue. Over revs in ranges 4 through 6 can be an indicator of a missed downshift (a.k.a. "money shift") which could have damaged the engine parts, and could void warranty because of abuse.

Is it a CPO car? If not, ask them why it is not. Then ask them if it can be covered under the CPO warranty. CPO normally adds $2,000 to $2,500 to the price and gives you an additional 2 years and an additional 50K miles to the factory warranty.

I would offer $62K to $64K including CPO warranty.

I agree with Tim. $65k is a very good price, and at the dealer no less.

Try $62.5k with CPO as your first counter.

Thank you all for your help. I ended up buying it for $64K including shipping form Arizona to Fresno CA. I knew I was going to buy this car the minute I saw it online last week. It was listed as an "S" but was a "4S" from a BMW dealership. It is a late '08 so warranty till 2013. I didn't do a DME readout as he had another buyer (not sure if it was true but when I called the receptionist called me by another name thinking I was the other interested party) so I just pulled the trigger. THANK YOU ALL

Just BEAUTIFUL. Love the deviating black carpets. I also have the two-tone black/beige interior and wish it had the black carpets. Looks very European an unique. Congrats on the purchase AND the price ! I paid $66 K for my 2007 C4S last August from a dealer in Colorado and thought then that I got a hell of a deal as the car only had 9K miles. The car's original MSRP was $106K. It was everything I wanted in a 997 : color, options, price so I went for it in a big way. I sold my 2001 Boxster S that I purchased new to a friend living near Sun Valley that I had met in Germany in 2004 while on a Porsche factory tour and trip through Austria. He had said that if ever I wanted to sell the Boxster to let him know. I did and he bought nearly 5 years later !
