Default Non-Bose rear storage deck

Hi all. I've been lurking here for about a month, trying to learn as much as possible from this huge knowledge base. It's truly amazing.

I've wanted a 911 since I was 13 and, now that I have the means, I'm trying to figure out exactly how I'd like mine to be configured...which brings me to my question.

What does the rear storage deck look like without the Bose stereo option? I've heard that you get a bit more space back there, but I can't seem to find any pictures online. Can someone without the Bose option take a picture and post it here? I want to get a set of golf clubs back there and I'd like as much space as possible. I'm also not a stickler for audio, not to mention the arguments I've read here about how good the Bose system really is.

Thanks!
Mike

Here is 997 without the bose speaker box. Not that much more room.

Imagine this except with seats :

You can also see some photos of the Bose being removed over on the Sharkwerks site where they document how to access the ECU:

Thanks for the quick replies... The dealers I've gone to only have cars with the Bose stereo, so I'm glad to see what it looks like without.

It seems that, with so little space to start, the non-Bose setup gives a significant amount of extra space. I think I can get a golf bag in there, diagonally, without much trouble.

golf bag with driver will not fit into rear seat - but you can keep it on a front passenger seat.

at least i did not try to make it fit back there, it did not seem to go freely so I never tried hard.

I have been able to fit my clubs across the back seats w/ driver on my Bose equipped car. It's actually a real nice fit; I think they must have designed the car to fit clubs.

I have a 2009 Targa with Bose can get two golf bags with ease. Now you do have to remove the driver and put those back there loose.

997, esq, Are you putting the clubs in with the seat-backs up or down? I assumed I'd put the seat-backs down and slide the clubs in heads first diagonally toward the back corner of the car. Is that how it's done? Maybe I should just bring my clubs to a dealer and try it for myself...

Fits easy as can be through the rear hatch of the Targa.

not much extra space... i prefer the bose... tons of extra space with or without it.. u can put small bags under the folded rear tops.. and then duffles on top.. duffles in the frunk... etc etc..

i bought a rubbermaid bin at walmart that fits PERFECTLY in the frunk and holds a ton of stuff, like 13$ versus the porsche one without a lid at 200$

if you are worried about resale it would seem wise to get the Bose option.
