Yep, I'm in the same area you are - I've been driving my 911 every weekend there is no snow or slush on the ground. Yesterday was nice - I also saw several P-cars...

Sounds really good! Usually I drive off with the battery tender connected. Good way to get more excitement.

I would certainly do the same thing. That's why I loop the cord
through the driver's side door, the steering wheel, around the
ignition switch and then put a 24" sign on the windshield reminding
me that she's plugged in.

That's a LOT of work. I just run the Porsche battery tender wire through the drivers side door. Impossible not to notice.

I actually don't do any of the things I mentioned above, except for
running the cord across the driver's seat. It reminds me just fine,
as long as I'm not distracted.

Where do you drive to in the winter? We sent to Sugarloaf Mtn in Md. For me winter drives are usually during the week where I play hooky from the office and use the drive to just think...

Did you go for a drive w/ a full load (4 people + luggage)? If not your cold tire pressures should be 33/39PSI.

I should check the door sticker again but I thought it was 37/44.

Grateful we live in southern California. One winter on Reno, and the snow, was enough for us. We bought a Subaru in anticipation for a second winter but we were called back to Cali before it snowed.

The door panel does say 37/44. I guess this assumes a full load.
Had used these pressure before and thought the ride was too harsh. Much better with 33/39.

so what`s a big deal? we had plenty of sunny days here, my car was out for more than 5 times this winter already. as soon as roads are completely dry - it`s fun time.

all that is not so bad for the car really, most dangerous thing is not salt or snow but numerous potholes on the roads after snowplows. route 9 looks like it was bombarded by alien forces.

it`s winter - for 40 degrees outside you got to add 2 psi or so, or better roll car out and let it sit for hour or so and then measure pressure in tires to see how much to add.

I don't go that far - just take the long way to Tyson's or just around the back roads of Ashburn (there are some GREAT roads back there). I just hate for my depreciating wallet anchor to sit in the garage when it doesn't have to...
