Default Dension Gateway Install - Frunk or Glovebox?

I had to remove the glovebox to replace the 2 CD holder. So now that it is removed, would you install the iPod connection in the glovebox or in the frunk? If I were doing the Dension install without having to have removed the glovebox I would just install in frunk. In my M5, I have had the iPod in the trunk and that has been fine, so hence my thinking. However, with the opportunity of the glovebox removed is there a downside to alternate locations? Those who have done it- what would you do?

Thanks!

My 06 install was below glovebox, tapped into PCM. Only downside is if you need to get to it, you need to remove the glovebox, no biggie if you already have done it once. If you intend to add the BTA1500, now is the time and very easy to run the mike wire.

I installed mine in the boot, and as someone else on here suggested, converted the Itunes format to mp3's and downloaed over 800 songs to a flash ROM and leave that in the denison. THis keeps the Ipod form banging around under track conditions FWIW

I helped install 3 others in the trunk, easiest install, unless you want i-pod and usb in glovebox or bluetooth phone, then cables can be a pain to run.

I installed mine in the trunk in my C2S and in the glovebox in my GT3. I preferred in the trunk.

I installed mine in the trunk. I like how it's out of the way and I just got a dedicated ipod to use with it.
Have not once wished it was in the glovebox or center console.

Thanks or the comments. I do have the BTA1500, so that may drive my decision. I haven't looked into the details yet, but can the bluetooth/microphone be installed in the cab with the rest in the frunk?

larrytrk: Thanks for the pics BTW- they are what I followed to remove the glovebox!
