09 997 S upgrade from 09 987 base? Good idea?

I have sold a couple of the green launch cars for under 80 grand, now that was when there was 10k cash back on them now there is only 8k but I am sure I could sell one for 80k you should be able to get that. The non S launch car is the white / gray car and there is 8k cash back plus you should get 10% off sticker plus the 8k cash back.

Rob,
New Country Porsche of Greenwich, CT has two new 2009 997 S Launch cars with PDK in Porsche Racing. One is listed at $80,995 and the other is listed at $81,995. You might be able to get an additional $2K out of them.

Also, Porsche of Nashua in NH has the same Launch car listed for $79,997.

Porsche of Buffalo, NY has two of these cars listed for $79,999.

So you certainly have better pricing options than what your local dealer is giving you.

Okay...yes I am not above a road trip so I will give these guys a call! I have seen the white car and the green car as well as my dealer has both on the lot. White car is sale priced down to $72k now and the green S at $89k albeit still too high according to the prices you guys have shown me here. Maybe a little comparative bargining is in order as I show my dealer the other options out there for cars at the price point I am looking for!
Okay yes I can see that. I will see what his final "sell" price is later next week and move on from there. But as said and noted a road trip may be in order!

Those prices are a joke, if no one else gives you a better price let me know. Shipping to your door for any dealer is no big deal so shop the country you dont have to take a road trip.

the S comes with PASM - but you can get a better deal on that car with $8k in trunk money from PAG to the dealer. i'm not saying he shouldn't make any money but if MSRP is $99k, he's basically getting near list for the car even at 10% off.
you can add nav but it's probably about $3k.
in my personal opinion, the only reasons to do this instead of buying a cpo car is to get the pdk.
