I've gone and bought my first Porsche; a 2006 Carrera 6-speed from Champion in Florida.
I'm quite happy as its a newer 911 seeing as I've previously lurked on the 993 forum. I just couldn't pull the trigger on a older 911 even though many are reliable, I wanted a no-hassle car as it will be my daily driver.
The 997 has only 29k on it and a one owner car with full service history and is a CPO car. Its not a heavily optioned car but does have the HID headlights and upgraded Targa wheel set. I bought it for a steal less than $42k and its in perfect shape.
The car will be shipped to me here in Dubai and it will eventually return to Canada when we move back home.
Congrats. Having seen the car in person the pictures don't do it justice. I bought mine from Champion too, in fact from Frank Tarnow the same salesman...who I believe owes me a bottle of scotch for the referral
I was tempted to see what kind of deal they would've given me on my '05, which I only bought last Feb and has less miles on it. I had wanted a silver one, especially for FL and for a guy like me who isn't into DIY washing/waxing, vs the black one I got. But thank you for saving me from myself.

Haha...yup Franks the man who handled the sale. I was considering upgrading the wheels to Champion RS128's but they are way too costly at the moment. Maybe in the future...
Palmbeacher send me a PM with your name and I'll mention it to Frank...
