x-51 Powerkit lite... how much could it be?

The other day I saw a post that said that Sunset Porsche had a special on engines that included a 3.8 X51 for only $8,190 with no core charge (I think these are remans). That is far less than the cost of the kit. So if you want a 3.8 X51 it would seem a lot less expensive to buy one of these engines, put it in your car, and then sell your current engine, you could probably get close to the cost of the engine from Sunset. And these engines come with all new components.

Just a thought.

Geez, makes me almost want to buy one as a "spare" for my Club Coupe's X51.

I thought at one time a factory "reman" engine was in that range for stock 3.2 through 3.8 liter engines.
