Sounds like the creaking / rattling instrument cluster is pretty common. My 09 C2S has it occasionally as well - all I do is "adjust" it by putting my fingers between it and the dash above and sort of twisting the whole assembly. Sometimes that works but sometimes it makes it worse - in which case a repeat normally works.
Haven't had the sunroof rattle in either of my 997's.

The creaking sound from the rear usually comes from the rear glass panel moving slightly in its frame. It can be improved by spraying silicone around the glass from the outside

Thanks, I've found the reference: TSB Number:2205, NHTSA Number:10018846, TSB Dateecember 13, 2005 Summary: Noise near the instrument cluster.
Is there somewhere where I can go to online to actually read what it says?

997.2 at 1K miles: I have a clicking noise at low speed and up that sounds like it is coming from the driver's side C-pillar. What on earth is it? It is making me crazy, but I'm trying to wait until I've gotten 2.5K miles on her - so I can have the dealer check the rattle and perform an oil service. Love the car and don't want to be without it right now. Same passenger-side seat belt rattles that I had on my 2006 997.1. Interesting to hear that I'm not the only one with a keychain rattle, and that change in the ashtray rattle - nuts! No more change in there!

I have a couple of rattles and squeaks driving me crazy. Can yopu please help me with tips on how to fix them.
1) Right side dash speaker grille. How do I remove it?
2) Sports Chrono. How do I remove it?
3) Left door, don't know where.
4) Squeak from somewhere behind the driver seat.
Heeeelp!!!

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago...inside (unfortunately!!) the headliner, passenger side, very tough to pin down the exact location. Everyone behind me thinks I'm waving at them while I'm pushing upward on various locations inside the roof while I'm in traffic. I'm starting to get a bit nuts about it, but I don't have the skill to drop the liner. I'll probably just have to live with it.

have an 09 C4S launch w/ the sport buckets. first 5k miles crazy rattles from everywhere all the time. only one i was able to really solve was one which proved to be coming from a rear panel that wasn't fully secured (snapped in or whatever). But at about 10k or so they all seemed to eventually go away. 27k later not a single rattle. hopefully that will be everyones experience as the miles add up. nothing worse than rattles on a new pcar.

same here. Rear passenger side. Thought it was the seat belt.

No rattles here.
Sorry, slightly off topic: I don't recall reading about you getting another 911, Riley. What'd you get? Let's see the pics!
P.S. Did you have fun in the Cayenne forum?

MY09C4S Launch with 8/08 build date and 46K mi. Carbon fiber passenger seat pull tab to release to tilt forward will rattle...I suspect dealer can address but I used some self stick velcro soft side to cushion when retracted and seat locked. Worked fine but dealer will check it out. Unknown occasional rattle seemingly from passenger side rear, perhaps on sub woofer? Third is occasional metallic rattle upon acceleation...still passenger side rear which can be mistaken for valve clatter (faintly)...though the valves should not be clattering on these engines...right?
