Default new PDK paddle shift steering wheel

Anyone heard whether Porsche will make the new steering wheel (from the new Turbo) with the paddles available for the rest of the range through Tequipment?

But will it be available for retrofit?
i suspect the price you quote is the option price when ordered on new car?

yes, it seems that to be the case for new cars orders. However I have a recently purchased CS2 PDK and am looking to order the new steering wheel for retrofit.
not sure
- it fits
- it can be ordered
- what the cost is

i have asked my dealer and awaiting for the answer...

It can be ordered. It's a plug-and-play item. It will probably cost around $1.5k.

I just received a 2010 S and I would not have ordered the journo-peer-pressured steering wheel. I consider the standard redundant button steering wheel a better system. Off the beaten path? Yes, but better. YMMV.

Thanks ADias

Re the two different systems:
I agree with you on the Journo thing they are just driving these cars for a day or two and they will criticise whatever is different to what they are used to.
My opinion? I have now covered 6,000 miles on the car and have gotten used to the buttons I think they are OK but I think I prefer the paddles especially when i am driving fast...i find the downshifts, especially when doing multiple ones in one time to be a bit difficult with the buttons...but again its what one is used to, I have spent a lot of track time with paddles myself...

Right now under the online configurator the paddles are only available as a "leather" option for the turbo! Does anyone know if they will be releasing the paddles within the other option categories like carbon fiber and aluminum?
