Blue Color Posting

Mexico Blue is a very pale color, somewhere between Gulf Blue and Rivierra Blue. This car is not Mexico Blue. It is either Blue Turquoise or Rivierra. My money would be on Blue Turquoise.

As with many colors, the lighting affects your ability to discern the exact color. Suggest you have a Mexico Blue, Riviera Blue, Blue Turquoise and Maritime Blue car park next to that car to know for sure!

Yesterday I was following a 997 Turbo that was a very handsome metallic grayish blue (a sort of gun smoke color) that I did not recognize. Can someone suggest the name of that color.
In it helps, I was on Route 35 in South Salem, NY which is, I think, in upper Westchester County in New York.

Notice how Mexico looks/needs the black wheels while Maritime is best with the silver wheels, being darker and needing that contrast, and then Turquoise is somewhere in between, Dan you got it right with the Carrera Sports!

I don't think that it was Aetna Blue based on the photo keenan9 posted. It was more of a metallic medium silver gray with just a touch of blue. The best description I can give is sort of a gunsmoke color (but keep in mind that I don't shoot!)
I know we have people from upper Westchester here and it's hard not to notice a Turbo. Someone must know this car -- and if not the color's name be able to give another description.

It is Aetna Blue--just entirely different lighting. I lifted this from his (owner's original posting): https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ur-997s-5.html

Here's another blue. We call it "Handicap Blue" in Kalifornia...
(shot with Kodachrome 25, so the colors are different than with a digital imager).

Yeah, I can't do that Mexico blue. They did it right by combining it with black on that custom order car. The car is just lacking too many desired options for me, and the color just isn't right. I agree with your comment.

What I believe to be true is that Mexico Blue is the most common of the 997 P.T.S. blues out there.
I also believe that between the Riviera, Maritime and Blue Turquoise of ours, there are less than ten cars (997) globally in those colors!
Here's a good reference thread from the 993 forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...re-thread.html
