Default Blue Color Posting

It was interesting this morning that we had three paint to sample blues all lined up on a thread. (https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-the-997s.html) All unique in their own right.

Well, we may as well do a repeat for those that missed it.

There you go, three PTS Blues in a row.

Thing of beauty, isn't it?

Don't forget that Tony Lapine was working at AMC when that came out. (Tony designed the 928).

Oh, great. Now, every time I see a 928, I'm going to think of an AMC Pacer.
Now that you mention it, the two are kind of similar in their puffy shapes. This was obviously before lap-band surgery was in vogue.

Ditto for the Gremlin and Matador. There are many design similarities--of course, I would never post this on the 928 Forum!!

Interesting. So I guess that makes the two cars siblings if they had the same father.

Yeah, go ahead and post this in the 928 Forum. I'm sure they'd love to know about the familial ties.

"The Porsche 928 designer, Tony Lapine, admitted that the Pacer provided the inspiration for the tail end treatment of that particular motoring icon!"
