Default What's missing from my upgrade list, '06 C2?

OK so it's early days but if you had a few thousand what would you choose to do to my car? I'm not going down the aerokit or wheels route and generally stick to rule of any upgrade being fairly easy to remove if needed.

Looks like you’ve addressed the cosmetics of your vehicle quite nicely. Perhaps you might consider a few defensive items to protect its appearance. Here are a few possibilities…

XPEL Paint/Headlight Protection Film - see http://www.xpel.com/
SCHILD Lid Liner - see http://www.p1speed.com
SCHILD Luggage Compartment Liner - see http://www.p1speed.com
DoorDefender Magnetic Car Door Protectors - see http://www.doordefender.com
Porsche Sunshield - see http://www.carlsenporsche.com/

Beyond those sorts of things, perhaps a V1 - see http://www.valentine1.com/

Beautiful vehicle, by the way. Could you share the specs for your spacers?

Lloyd's Mats w/997 script and piping,
Silver Crest Hood Emblem,
Hoen's white light kit for all the auxillary lamps,
2' pipe between the intake and exhaust side of you mufflers....

I would invest in the most important element of driving a Porsche - the driver... go with a PDE course! No need to wait until 2011 when warranty expires! :-)

Default Pictues of my first two mods, clears and a tag.

Look at that, NC has just switched back to blue lettering for their tags, how fortuitous.

when i lived there i never knew why some were red letter and some blue..

why wait for exhaust? doesnt harm any part of warranty as long as your after the cats...

id hack the side mufflers!... best thing i ever did to my 997.1, keeps all the stock parts but under higher RPM it allows for better flow and sounds superb!

by hack i mean what member above said:

2" pipe between the intake and exhaust side of you mufflers....... you do it before the side muffler, usually costs 150-200$ and sounds better than 2500$ PSE

Thanks for the replies.
Yes I've thought about film on the front of the car, but I wonder about the cost vs benefit. Hmmmm.
DoorDefender - I wonder if people will be more careless just because they see a DoorDefender parked next door?
With regards to spacers I have 5 mm on the front and 14 mm on the rear of my Boxster and the difference is amazing, I'll do the same on my 997.
I thought about a Silver crest as I've got the whole blue/silver thing going and no colored wheel crests, but not sure - as yet. Change for change sake?
The 2" pipe thing has me thinking, but what I really want is a lighter exhaust too. Can't beat the cost, Trick would be to find a good shop.
Well I do plan on doing a DE yemenmocha, I've done plenty in the Boxster, I think I've got a lot to learn in this rear engined car!

Default Pictures of mods three and four.

I had the Dension bluetooth and iPhone hooked up to my car. It was expensive but I love the way it's out of sight, yet easy to access and works through the PCM and MF steering wheel. Thanks to European Performance, in Raleigh, for the professional install.
The bluetooth is visible only as a large black “q-tip” (well illuminated by the camera flash here) and in the glove box are an iPhone hook-up (loose cable), USB port (placed up top) and an input for audio (secured up top).

Looks super---another project down!

So are spacers next? Looks like a few of us are heading in that direction (see https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...r-spacers.html). Might be worth investigating a group buy.

GHills that is a cool idea, I hadn't even considered it! Maybe I'll add the big reds brakes and an S on the rump too. Sweetness
However I generally stick to rule of any upgrade being fairly easy to remove if needed.
