Thanks, all. This is really useful. Royalpar, I hadn't thought of the exposed edge where the film ended as being the problem -- I think I understand what my dealer was getting at, now. I hadn't thought about what options there are in terms of where the film ends! I guess the next call is to Detailing Dynamics, to see what the options are...

I am not a fan of clear film, from an appearance standpoint....HOWEVER, if I lived near Premier or Detailing Dynamics, I'd be hard pressed not to do it. I've seen DD's work personally on cars that were sent there for film, and I'm sure Premier is equally qualified....but I've not seen as many great looking film jobs otherwise. We have a great local guy here who does good work too, I'm just not a fan of the overall appearance.
The rear panels on my new Turbo Cab have turned yellow already, and will likely be replaced with something better. What is Porsche thinking?
On another note, Premier posted something not long ago about a new tint product that resists heat but has less darkness to it....what became of that product guys?
