I agree re the name , certainly a marketing attempt to mislead!
Forged wheels are MUCH lighter.
As long as they please you that is all that should matter.

Fixed it for you

The wheels look awesome! Now go enjoy the hell out of that car and quit wasting time on Riley.

Also, you say you could care less about the PCCB's. Give it a month of driving and you will love em'. You'll also start to notice other European cars that have black front wheels and grey back wheels.

You are correct. I've had the car for about 4 months now and love the PCCBs. I was just saying that it was not a "must have" for me at the time I was looking to buy a 997S......I sure am glad I have them now though...as long as I don't have to replace them

My wife's X5 is covered in brake dust one week after I clean them.

Thanks for the compliments

30lbs for the 295s and 32lbs for the 305s, 24lbs for the 235s. A little heavier than a PS2 or Pirelli nspec tire.

He's running 19's but they are still pretty light.
22lbs for the front at 19X8.5 and I believe 24lbs for the 19X11".

That was with a silver finish don't know about the titanium finish.

997 Turbo wheels are forged and they are heavier than the cast lobsters.

remind me of the new 2010 turbo wheels. forged obviously are lighter and great for the track but unless you track your car its like PCCB's vs. Big Reds. you guys should just have a beer and make up... i think they look sweet

Actually if you Google rijowysock you'll find that Riley is/was a distributor of Works Wheels and seemingly would be advantageous for him to post pictures of and promote his wheels. Looking at their website most of the wheels are "DUB" or ricer which was my first thought when I saw pictures of his car. I also noticed it is common for Riley to get banned from some of the better forums such as 6speed and teamspeed presumably for trying to push product and slamming advertisers.

Just a quick post to say I think those wheels are some of the best looking I've seen on a 997.1. Nice choice, and the yellow calipers just add to the appeal.
Enjoy.
